In their image we were created on the sixth day
In their likeness we were meant to be
But an evil one soon had his way
And we lost all hope for eternity
One lie told, one lie believed
Our free will put to the test
And even though Eve was the only one deceived
Adam ruined Eden for all the rest
No longer Their imagers would we be
Cast out of the garden to fend for our own
We lost sight of who we were meant to be
Leaving behind the greatest love ever known
We were not created to look like Them in the physical
With faces, legs, arms, toes and fingers
Our likeness to Them was intended to be spiritual
Somewhere deep within us Their characteristics still lingers
No longer Their imagers would we be
Cast out of the garden to fend for our own
We lost sight of who we were meant to be
Leaving behind the greatest love ever known
The Law as it was written down in stone
Was never intended to be used as rules to follow
Rather, they are I Am’s moral standards, and His alone
Which reveal our hearts as calloused and hollow
And from them how we are prone to stray and meander
So, steady your mind and heart
To be an imager of Those on high
Dedicating in whole and not in part
Believing for you He chose to die
He chose to die
He chose to die.
