I remember the dust, the sun in my eyes
Crowds gathered round, hope in the air
Small hands trembling as He turned and smiled
Lifted me gently, said I mattered there
His words were simple, soft, but strong
“Be like this child”—I felt I belonged
Held in His hands, I saw the world new
Trusting and open, with nothing to prove
In the heart of the moment, I learned to believe
Childlike and humble, His love I received
Years drifted by; I grew and I changed
Sometimes forgotten, the lesson remained
When shadows grew longer and life pulled apart
I heard His words echo deep in my heart
All the questions, the doubts, the fears
But childlike faith kept me near
Held in His hands, I saw the world new
Trusting and open, with nothing to prove
In the heart of the moment, I learned to believe
Childlike and humble, His love I received
Through seasons of sorrow and days filled with joy
That memory anchored the soul of a boy
Every choice shaped by what Jesus had shown
To welcome each moment, to never walk alone
His lesson in kindness, forgiveness, and grace
Guided my journey—led me to this place
Still held in His hands, forever renewed
Faith like a child, my spirit imbued
Grateful and humble, His words guide me still
Because I was chosen and always will
Childlike and humble, His love I received
Forever transformed, in Him I believe.
