I.M. Song of the Week: Blessed

Galilee

Matthew 5:1-14
Blessed are the poor in spirit
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven
And blessed are they who mourn
For they shall be comforted

You are the salt of the earth
Full of grace, don’t lose the savour
You are the light of the world
A city set on a hill that cannot be hidden
You cannot be hidden

And blessed are the pure in heart
For they shall see God
And blessed are ye who are persecuted
For righteousness’ sake

Rejoice and be glad
For great is your reward in heaven
Let your light so shine before men
That they may see your works and glorify God
Your Father in heaven

Who lights a lamp to hide under a bushel?
Set it on a stand
To shine forth upon this cold, dark land
This land

Blessed are the merciful
For they shall obtain mercy
And blessed are you who do hunger
And thirst after righteousness
You

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord
You
Hallelujah
Do you know who you are?
Do you know who you are?
Do you know who you are?

You’re a child of the King
You’re a child of the King
You’re a child of the King
We are children of the King of kings.
